The Gruppo Fiori (Fiori Group) is in charge of the collection and recycling of ferrous and nonferrous metals. In 2008 we redesigned the architecture of the group’s system of branding, placing the trademark "Gruppo Fiori" front and center. The design of the logo and the supporting communication tools of the business were redesigned in a way to show the renewed needs of the group. Particular attention was paid to their annual participation in the Ecomondo fair in Rimini: for each edition we designed the stand space, considering the involvement and active participation of the public in the subject of recycling to be central.
For the 2008 edition, Siamo tutti minatori (We are all miners), we staged an interactive exhibit to teach children and teens the advantages to the environment of recycling metals. In the 2009 edition, Lettere dai rottami (Letters from junk), we wanted to let the junk speak directly. We designed an alphabet from pieces of metal collected from Gruppo Fiori construction sites, and invited the writer Matteo Marchesini to write 26 stories about the past lives of the metals collected. For the 2010 edition, Faccia da riciclo (A face for recycling), we looked into what people think about the recycling and reuse of materials. With the participation of students from the school of writing directed by Paolo Nori, we recorded and photographed stories of “domestic recycling.” Then came Formulare il futuro (Formulating the future), the 2011 edition. A metal wall — that of the stand or the side of your refrigerator — 100 magnetic words, the possibility to compose the future.
